Vibration Testing

Senior Aerospace SSP Engineering Labs has variousVibrationTest Capabilities to support customer requirements.

Vibration Testing Experience

Vibration testing is  used in industry to simulate the vibration environment and shock a component sees during operation, handling, or transport. Our Engineering Test Lab vibration shaker tables can perform random and sinusoidal vibration tests at up to 20,000 lbs, with up to 3in peak-to-peak displacements. The internal capabilities of the Engineering Lab are unique, especially when it comes to vibration testing.   Given that most of the vibration setups conducted within our facility are SSP-designed complex ducting systems and parts, our lab technicians are experienced in setting up large systems on the shakers and investigating/troubleshooting pre-vibration setup issues. Additionally, through years of testing experience, we have built the ability to effectively simulate product field installations and are capable of accommodating test units with interfaces on-shaker as well as grounded off-shaker.

With slip plates and head expanders up to 48in x 48in in size, we can accommodate large test articles on our vibration shakers. Additionally, capability studies allow us to predict shaker output at any point of our slip plates and head expanders, so we can work with our customers on determining ideal test unit placement depending on the input curves.
