I. Facility Access
In preparation for your upcoming visit to our facility, please read the following instructions thoroughly as our visitor procedures have recently changed.
Access to our facility is controlled via our Security Policy, Visitor Procedure, the International Traffic and Arms Regulations (ITAR), and the Export Administration Regulations (EAR).
All Foreign National Visitors (i.e. any visitor who is not a U.S. citizen or not in possession of a valid U.S. Permanent Resident Card, aka "Green Card") are required to report to the Human Resources Department to complete the Foreign National Acknowledgement Form and submit a copy of their passport prior to entry into the facility. For returning visitors, a passport copy need not be submitted unless the current passport on file has expired.
Foreign National Visitors will be escorted at all times in order to prevent the visitor from entering restricted access areas. The Foreign National Visitor must wear the "Foreign National Visitor" badge issued by the Human Resources Department. The badge must be returned and the Foreign National Acknowledgement Form must be signed upon exit from the facility.
II. General Visitor Guidelines While On-Site
You are the responsibility of the Senior Aerospace SSP employee bringing you into the facility. Please follow the guidelines listed below to ensure your visit is safe and enjoyable:
High heels and open toed shoes are not allowed within the facility
Wear the proper personal protective equipment (PPE).
Wear your visitor badge in a visible manner at all times.
Do not stray from the Senior Aerospace SSP employee who is escorting you.
Food and drinks are not allowed in the manufacturing areas.
Smoking is permitted within the designated smoking areas only.
Evacuate the building immediately if the fire alarms sound.
Observe all safety signs posted throughout the facility.
All injuries and near misses must be reported to the EH&S Manager immediately.
Drugs, alcohol, weapons and minors are prohibited.
III. Personal Protective Safety Equipment
The following PPE is required as listed below: Safety Glasses - Required in all production areas at all times. Safety glasses are available in the lobby should you not bring your own. Steel Toed Safety Shoes - Required in all production areas at all times. Slip over steel toed covers are available in the Human Resources Department should you not bring your own. Visitors who walk down the center aisle to the administrative area and back do not need to wear safety shoe protection; however, if you need to walk anywhere else within the facility you must wear the required safety shoe protection. Hearing Protection - Required in Building 600, all grind rooms and Dept. 41. Ear plugs are available at the entrances of Building 600 should you not bring your own. Hard Hats - Required in Building 600 and Dept 23. Hard hats are available at the front entrance of Building 600 / the EH&S office if you do not bring your own.
Photographing and/or filming anywhere within the facility is strictly prohibited. This includes filming / taking photographs with cell phones or smart phones.
All data viewed or used during your visit may not be copied or removed from the facility.
VI. Hazard Communications
All chemicals used within the facility have been pre- approved by facility management. All Material Safety Data Sheets used within the facility are available upon request from the EH&S Manager.
VII. In Case of Emergency
Fire, Ambulance and Police- Dial 8-911
If you hear an alarm, remain calm and exit the facility immediately via the nearest exit. Proceed to the evacuation area and report to Evacuation Area A.
